Classes and Fees

Fall Session Starts September 25 & 30, 2010 Character Creations Winter Session Starts January 6 & 8, 2011 Actor Movement Summer Session July 27 - Aug 31, 2010 Musical Theatre for Act 1 & 2 Character Voice for Act 3	Please Note the start Date Change for both Fall Saturday Classes Saturday Classes will begin September 25th Act 1 (*5-12yrs) $60 - Builds confidence and self awareness as students are introduced to acting. (Classes are Open - 5 Spots available) Act 2 (10-18yrs) $84 - Challenges the intermediate to advanced student while building acting skills and talents. (Class is Open - 3 spots available) Act 3 (Adults) $112 - Works with the beginning to advanced student while building acting skills, talent, & confidence for both Stage and Film. (Class is Open - 5 Spots Available)
The Great Bear March 1-5, 2010 Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil April 26-30, 2010	Beginning One Act Play Workshop (7-12yrs) $68 - Designed to introduce young students to the theatrical process. They get to be an actor and learn what it takes to get ready for and perform in a play. (also known as Off Track Workshops)
Adv. One Act - August 16-21, 2010 Audition - August 16-20, 2010	Advanced One Act Play Workshop (10-18yrs) $135 - Dedicated students can challenge themselves in this intense environment as they prepare and perform on stage. (Class Canceled) Audition Preparation (8yrs and up.) $85 - Every actor needs an exceptional audition. Learn trade secrets and prepare for your next big opportunity. (Class is Set)

Private Lessons - ($20.00 a lesson) Taught in 45 minute segments weekly or biweekly for 4 lessons. Develop a specific skill, prepare for an audition or get help with a character you are performing. Instruction is specialized and personalized for each student. Available August -June.

Private Coaching - ($25.00 an hour) Available by appointment all ages reserved by the hour. Get an honest critic and positive coaching on a prepared audition, competition, or performance piece.

^*5 & 6 year old - students may be enrolled in Act 1 after an interview with the teacher.

Student Enrollment - Full classes 4-6 students

Classes - will be taught weekly Act 1 for 60 minutes Act 2 for 90 minutes Act 3 for 120 minutes

Class Structure - every class will follow this basic structure: Warm ups, review, perform assignments, practice and critique, new topic lesson, activities and games that reinforce lesson, explain new assignment.

Class Curriculum - Acting Out Loud Classes are designed to build confidence, develop tools: voice, body, & mind and to give students several on stage opportunities. Each session works with a specific tool to facilitate student learning. There are six sessions offered by Acting Out Loud: Character Movement, Character Voice, Character Creation, Actor Movement, Actor Voice, and Actor Creation. The lessons and assignments advance in difficulty as students move from Act 1 to Act 2 to Act 3.

Class Ages - A variety in age helps the students to be brave, less inhibited, and more creative in encouraging each other. So we won’t be separating classes by age beyond the Act 1, 2, & 3 classifications. If your student doesn't quite meet age requirements for a class or workshop, but you feel they are ready for a certain class they may be enrolled with permission of the teacher.

Workshops - are taught daily for 5 to 6 days in one week. All are taught for 90 minutes except the Advanced One Act Play which is taught for 180 minutes.

Costumes - May be rented from Broadway Attire for Hire for a $15 rental fee and $3 cleaning fee.

Refunds - for Acting Classes are only issued within 24hrs of the first class and are subject to a 20% materials and preparation fee. Workshop refunds are only issued 21 days prior to the first class date and are subject to a 45% materials and preparation fee. Students who miss a class due to illness may schedule a 20 minute lesson to make up training.
