Register Now to Begin Your Adventure

I want to thank you for your interest and support of Acting Out Loud. I am amazed each registration
period by the new and continued students building Acting Out Loud.  I love teaching classes
and hope to have a joyful, creative, productive session, every time.

I would like to ask a couple things.  First, please register early to reserve your actor’s placement.
Second, please confirm with your actor their willingness and desire to take the class.

Acting Out Loud Classes require work, cooperation, and focus in class and memorization and practice outside of class.  Please enroll the students motivated to meet the challenge.
Lastly, I will need to stick to the 6 student minimum to run each class. If there are not enough students in the class/workshop your actor would like to take, we can discuss ways to meet your needs.

Studying acting is fun! I will work to build confidence and skills along the way.
Thank you again for giving me the opportunity to work with your actor.

Student Enrollment - Classes  and Workshops will run with minimum of 6 students.

*5 & 6 year old - students may be enrolled in Act 1 after an interview with the teacher.

*10 & 11 year old - students may be enrolled in Act 2 after an interview with the teacher.

Classes - will be taught weekly Act 1 for 60 minutes,
Act 2 for 90 minutes, & Act 3 for 120 minutes

Class Structure - every class will follow this basic structure: Warm ups, review, perform assignments, practice and critique, new topic lesson, activities and games that reinforce lesson, explain new assignment.

Class Curriculum - Acting Out Loud Classes are designed to build confidence, develop tools: voice, body, & mind and to give students several on stage opportunities. Each session works with specific tools to facilitate student learning. There are six, 7 week acting class sessions offered by Acting Out Loud: Actor Movement,  Actor Imagination, Actor Voice,  Character Movement, Character Voice, and Character Creation.

Class Ages - A variety in age helps the students to be brave, less inhibited, and more creative in encouraging each other. So I won’t separate classes by age beyond the Act 1, 2, & 3 classifications. If your student doesn't quite meet age requirements for a class or workshop, but you feel they are ready for a certain class they may be enrolled with permission of the teacher.

Workshops - are taught daily for 5 to 6 days in one week. All are taught for 90 minutes except the Intermediate/Advanced One Act Play which maybe taught for 180 minutes.

Covid & Illness in Acting -  Please do not attend sick. Sick students will be asked to return home.  When recovering or dealing with a minor illness please wear a mask. Students will sanitize and have their temperature read at the beginning of class.  When social distancing isn't possible, students not on stage will mask. When possible performances will be held in big open areas.  When that is not possible audience numbers will be limited and asked to mask.  When Covid illness  or exposure is known, please communicate immediately with Ms. Peterson. Class attendance may be staggered to limit exposure risks.

Students who miss a class due to illness may schedule a 20 minute lesson to make up training.
